Gospel Holiday: Damien Sneed
A holiday program from a pianist, organist, vocalist and conductor who has worked with Aretha Franklin, Wynton Marsalis, Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross, and served as music director for The Clark Sisters, Donnie McClurkin and BET's Sunday Best. He won a 2021 NAACP Image Award for producing the Clark Sisters' The Return, releases on his own LeChateau Earl label, and teaches at Howard and Juilliard.
Why The Local: A tiny all-ages listening room whose booking punches far above its size, from Ukrainian folk to jazz trailblazers.
