Modern Natives
A duo now based in the Hudson Valley, founded by Dezy in 2009 and joined by Savannah in 2019. They built the act on years of cross-country touring between Alaska and Florida plus several Canadian runs, traveling in a camper with three cats and a dog, and they have played the O+ Festival in Kingston. Songs include True 'Merican, Gut Feeling and Bedroom Garbage.
Why Colony: From Dylan-era folkies to today's indie acts, everyone passes through this 1929 art-deco landmark, and the tree-lit back garden is one of the best summer hangs in town.
