Professor Louie & the Crowmatix
Woodstock keyboard player Aaron Hurwitz, known as Professor Louie, spent 15 years co-producing, engineering and playing with The Band, including Jericho, High on the Hog and Jubilation, plus solo records by Rick Danko, Garth Hudson and Levon Helm. He fronts the Crowmatix on Hammond B3, piano and accordion with singer Marie Spinosa and guitarist John Platania, releasing albums like Music From Hurley Mountain in 2016 on their own Woodstock Records.
Why Colony: From Dylan-era folkies to today's indie acts, everyone passes through this 1929 art-deco landmark, and the tree-lit back garden is one of the best summer hangs in town.
