Regina Bonelli
A Brooklyn born soul blues singer who has played keyboard since she was eleven and teaches it, with a growl critics put next to Big Mama Thornton and Millie Jackson. Her debut Love Letter (2018) topped the Roots Music Report and charted for nearly three years; Truth Hurts arrived in 2022 on True Groove with Funkadelic guitarist Michael Hampton. She is a New York Blues Hall of Fame inductee.
Why Colony: From Dylan-era folkies to today's indie acts, everyone passes through this 1929 art-deco landmark, and the tree-lit back garden is one of the best summer hangs in town.
