Woodstock Symphony Orchestra: An Evening of Elegance & Enchantment
The Woodstock Playhouse's resident orchestra, grown out of the Woodstock Chamber Orchestra, which took the symphony name once music director Jonathan Handman expanded it to the size needed for full symphonic repertoire. Mina Kim conducts, with Angela Fiedler as concertmaster. This program, An Evening of Elegance and Enchantment, pairs Schubert's Symphony No. 5 with Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade.
Why Woodstock Playhouse: A summer-stock landmark since 1938 staging full Broadway-style musicals right at the gateway to Woodstock.
